In a pitiful attempt to gain my attention, my old truck decided to pose as a Ferrari and tried self-immolation today.
How did it accomplish this feat? In collaboration with a small creature which would normally reside in a field, the truck offered up the space between the a/c blower motor and the exhaust as a nice new home. After stuffing the area full of local grass clippings in the process, the little critter shredded the insulation around the a/c evaporator and added it to the pile. When I fired it up - the first time in several weeks - the exhaust caught the grass on fire and white smoke came pouring from under the hood. Before I could shut it down, the smoke found its way into the a/c system and filled the cab.
I bailed out and grabbed the hose. Putting the fire out was easy. I think getting the smoke smell out of the cab is going to take some time.

Yikes, put a couple bowls of vinegar in the truck and let it sit, I use it to get camp fire smell out and it works pretty well.

I'll give it a shot!
